Gaziza Omarova talks about the main challenges and issues on the certification market in Kazakhstan

Very interesting people who, through their labor, earned respect and recognition, and most importantly, did a lot for the development of arts and science in the Republic of Kazakhstan. And the adjoining territory, the foyer, and all the premises of the Academy is a real museum, where the beautiful creations of the most talented graduates of the Academy are presented.

The National Accreditation Center informs that a new phase of the regional project of the Federal Physico-Technical Institute of Germany (PTB) for Central Asia countries, which is a continuation of the previous project “Support for the Development of Quality Infrastructure in Central Asia” (hereinafter - the Project), has now been launched. It aimed at promoting the development of quality infrastructure in accordance with international standards in the Central Asia countries.
The Project participants are the Federal Physico-Technical Institute of Germany (PTB), the Kazakhstan Institute of Metrology (RGP KazInMetr), the National Accreditation Center (NCA) and the subjects of accreditation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The project aims to develop metrological assurance and traceability of measurements in the field of temperature and thermophysical quantities to meet the needs of industries, businesses in quality infrastructure services, the emergence of new services or improving the quality of services provided in the field of temperature and thermophysical measurements.
On April 11, 2019, amendments to the Law “On ensuring the uniformity of measurements” (hereinafter - the Law) regarding the calibration and calibration of measuring instruments came into force.
On November 20, 2018, the standard ST RK ISO / IEC
17025-2018 “General requirements for the competence of
testing and calibration laboratories”, identical to the
international ISO / IEC 17025: 2017, was put into effect in
the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting of the ILAC General Assembly, a period of
3 years was set for the transition from ISO / IEC 17025:
2005 to ISO / IEC 17025: 2017, that is, until 30.11.2020.
Starting from 01.12.2020 the validity of all accreditation
certificates confirming competence for compliance with the
requirements of GOST ISO / IEC 17025-2009 is considered
invalid.

ISO 45001 allows an organization, through its OHSAS 18001 management system, to integrate other aspects of health and safety.
