Energy Management Certification (ST RK ISO 50001-2012)
The certification ensures that energy management systems predicts and controls the processes of generation, transportation and use of energy resources in conformity with the State requirements.
Rational energy consumption helps enterprises to reduce expenses and to try to coop with climate changes. ISO 50001 assists organizations in their efforts in rational using of energy by creating Energy management systems (EnMS).
The standard model is created by using a management system based on continuous improvement. ISO 50001 is used together with other popular standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 that provides enterprises with the possibility to incorporate energy management in teamwork aimed to improve the quality and environmental management.
Basic requirements for the companies:
- creating a strategy for better power consumption;
- improvement goals and objectives under the strategy;
- processing of information for better understanding of how to use energy more efficiently;
- editing of results;
- analytics and continuous monitoring of strategies with the aim to improve the efficiency of energy management.
Certification according to this standard is possible, but not mandatory. Several companies decide to introduce the standard because of advantages offered by the ISO 50001: 2011. The others pass certification simply to show that they have the energy management system.
